LaVergne Lands $20M Retail Center from the Daily News Journal.
Joy! Okay, here’s what I want (as if!) in my perfect shopping center.
-
Bookstore
-
Craft store with work stations (like ceramics, toll painting, etc.)
-
JoAnn’s or Hancock’s fabric store
-
Indian restaurant
-
Music store (do these even exist anymore since CD’s are going the way of vinyl, cassettes, and 8-tracks?)
-
Discovery or National Geographic type store
-
Ace Hardware
-
Bakery
What else people of LaVergne?

Ivy wants an Wild Oaks.
I want a computer store.
my mother wants a Dairy Queen.
I also want a putt putt golf.
Kathy, we could open up our own shop and call it T’S specializing in T-Shirts with logo’s. Hmm just a thought.
How about a Game Stop?
Would love to see a sports store, small grocer (wal mart neighborhood market?), and a restaurant. Well, actually that might make too many restaurants in that location once Ihop, TGIF, applebees, and demos all open.
A golf sotre would bre great (something like’On the Green in La Vegne), but then we’d have to explain to all the dumb smyrna residents that La Vergne is french for the green. (JK Smyrna).
Black Eyed Pea
Noodles & Co
P F Changs
Fuddruckers
Bob Evans
Maggie Moo’s
Olive Garden

I would love to see a shoe store of some kind, and I agree with Kathy T that a bookstore would be great, as well as a Michael’s-type crafts store.
My Wife would love a TJ Maxx Home Store. I would love an electronics store. Glad to see Staples coming in the Target shopping center. This is all very good news for La Vergne, I am thrilled about Kroger, wish it was openning sooner. Hopefully La Vergne will take this tax revenue to improve the image of La Vergne. If there is a model city around I think it is Hendersonville. It shocks me everytime I drive by there how much they have done to improve the look an feel of their city.
I didnt know Krogers was coming to town. When did this happen?
I would LOVE to have an Old Navy. I would 2nd a Noodles & Co. (or Nothing But Noodles or Wild Noodles—Yes, I love my pasta!) I’m not sure what else I’d like to see…maybe a Sports Seasons or something similar and a Borders.

Mark – the old Bi-Lo / Southern Family food store is :::hopefully::: being converted to a Kroger. I don’t think it’s been officially announced, but one of our commenters who seems to be “in the know” has kept us somewhat updated. So cartwheels here!
All I want is a store that sells fabric and a natural foods store.
“All I want is a store that sells fabric and a natural foods store.”
I’ve always wondered what natural food stores are. What do you buy at kroger, supernatural food?
Soylent Green. Google it if you need to. Enjoy the laugh!
So in 2022 we’ll be buying supernatural food at Kroger. Yes, let’s recruit whole foods!
