UPDATE: Claire went home yesterday after great improvement!
My daughter’s friend Claire is the 13-year old girl who fell off the hood of a car this weekend and suffered severe head trauma. She is currently in stable condition at Vanderbilt after being airlifted from her home in Lake Forest Estates.
The kids were goofing around and doing things they shouldn’t have been and now Claire’s sister’s boyfriend has been arrested as a result of the incident. I am not here to judge or hear people complain about the behavior of these children and teenagers, but instead I want to ask for your prayers.
When I started my Girl Scout troop, Claire was one of our first members. Although she’s been gone from the troop for years, she still remains a very sweet, important influence in my daughter’s life. Please please keep this girl in your prayers, along with her parents, sister, and brothers. Also, the boyfriend and his family will be going through some difficult times in the coming months, so keep them in mind as well.

oh thats heartbreaking! when you’re that age, you think you’re invincible. I know that I am lucky to be alive today after the stunts I pulled as a teenager. My thoughts are with Claire and her family.
That is good to hear she is stable, I was on the LZ Saturday night. In some cases EMS never hear how the patients end up.
So glad to hear Claire is home and doing much better. What a hard lesson to learn. Again, take it easy Claire and get back to full health. God bless you.
