Oldtimers’ Day is tomorrow! A friend of mine – and probably one of the few life-long residents of LaVergne – told me that in the past people who attended Oldtimers’ Day had dress for the part with long dresses, bonnets, suspenders, etc. She said it was a hoot dressing up for the occasion!
While I don’t see many people walking around like they lived in the 1800s, Oldtimers’ Day continues to be a lot of fun. COME TOMORROW! Here’s a link to the events, entertainment, and more information from the city website.
If you come, be sure to stop by Senna Mosley‘s tent where our friends at Green LaVergne will be set up. I’ll also be there with the Tennessee Twirlers since my daughter is marching in the parade. Be sure to say hello to the man of the hour – Brandon Brewer – who is the grand marshal tomorrow!
