Just to tell you a little about me, I’ve been in La Vergne since 2003. I first lived in Lake Forest “Premier”, but am now in Cedar Grove.
I’m politcally conservative, and yes I voted for President Bush! Although I can’t figure out why he wants illegal immigration…
I want to be a part of the best suburb in Nashville, and I want the suburb to be La Vergne. Let’s see what we can do.
I also live in the cedar grove neighborhood, in the back on martinsdale. 2 days ago on sept/4th my wife and I saw a man come out of the woods behind the neighborhood (with the trails leading to the elm. school and the new kohls) and walk up the hill between us and the warehouses behind us. he sat on the hill hidden by the tree’s with all the break ins and such, the police were called and apparently were looking for this man already, several officers showed up and a chase ensued, it seems to me the man got away. Because after running around for 30minutes, on of the officers came back and got his dog out of his car and looked for another hour or so before leaving. I was just wondering if you’ve heard anything about why they were chasing him, what he had done, and why we dont have a fence in the back of the neighborhood to keep people from walking out of the woods in those trails back there and breaking into 25 houses/cars in one night.
Great to hear from you Mike! I would encourage you to come to our neighborhood watch meeting this next week to share your concerns. We talked about this problem. Many of the construction workers have been crossing over into our subdivision ever since they began work on the new Target. Most people think this will stop once contruction is done.
I know there has been discussion regarding a fence, but I’m not sure what progress has been made. I havew mixed feelings on this. Either we put up a fence with razor wire (unattractive) or we spend money on a nice privacy fence which will probably be knocked over? This one’s a tough call…
Little Update for you…
The guy the police chased through the woods in the back of Cedar Grove was a car theif. Apparently he’s been arrested several times, and is relatively young (15 or 16 cant remember). An officer told me every time he gets arrested he’s pleaded instanity or some such thing and they can’t hold him. I belive they cought him the next day at Starbucks, he had stolen a teachers car.
