I’ve already cast my ballot.  I won’t say if I voted for the best man or the best woman, but rest assured that who I voted for was the best in my opinion.  It was a difficult decision.

I voted at City Hall.  There were four people ahead of me and four came in behind me.  Very short line.  I saw the lines are much longer on Old Nashville Highway at the church.  Be patient, though.  Get out and vote.

  1. I can’t remember what the election last year was for, but I had to vote at the Civic Center. Of course it was raining that day, no parking available. There were cars parked all the way past the rescue center. After standing in line for over an hour, people started coming in saying they were getting ready to tow cars that were parked on the side of the road. I refused to get out of line just to move my car. Luckily, it wasn’t towed, but traffic was a mess trying to get back out onto Old Nash Hwy. They should have had officers out directing traffic.

I have since received notification that our location has changed to the Baptist Church. More parking available, but it will be just as hard trying to get out.

    Any suggestions?

  2. I don’t think it would be hard to get out of FBC if you turn right?

I voted at Cedar Grove Elementary. I went at 7:30 and it only took 10 minutes. I didn’t vote for the best candidate because Fred dropped out. I did vote for the best of the remaining candidates.

I think La Vergne should tear down the so called civic center and build a true community center.

  3. I voted at the Baptist Church yesterday when it opened at 7am. However, it took me 45 minutes to get through the lines to actually cast my vote (which took 2 minutes).

The people who were working during the morning were nice enough; but they were in sore need for more volunteers. They also needed more visible signs for the registration lines (A-D, E-H, etc.) as well as a clear, marked path for the actual voting line.

  4. I voted for the best of the remaining candidates also! Fantastic! That means he/she has a great chance of being the next POTUS!

    I’m Just Votin’….
