Bulletin Board

workshere wrote a comment in a place on this site that could easily be lost, so it made me think.  When people have any special announcement about activities or events or yard sales or school fundraisers, why not create one place for the information to land?

So if you’ll look waaaaay up there at the green tabs on the top of the page, you’ll see a new tab for Bulletin Board.  Need to make an announcement?  Help yourself!

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I lost my dog a few weeks ago and i came to this site to try and post about it but figured if i could only post it as a comment to something not related no one would ever see it. I did get her back later the same day. The bulletin board then would have been a great help.

  2. The Chili Concert at LHS lastnight was a tremendous success…..thank you to all that came out to support the Choir… they are the Best High School Choir in Rutherford County!!! Please continue to support and encourage this very talented group of kids. They are our future!!

  3. I agree . . . the chili dinner/concert was wonderful. I’m a bit ashamed to admit this, but this my daughter’s first year in Choraliers and I had no idea they would be so good.

Let’s hope they raised a bunch of money . . . I know some of the kids will struggle to raise funds and every little bit helps!

Thanks to everyone for their support!

  4. I have looked over your blog a few times and I love it.

  5. Sherry- Thank you for your support last night….I am curious though, I have seen you post on here previously and am still trying to place who your daughter is… wonder if I talked to you on the phone last week when we were asking for food donations?

I do know how you feel though, My daughter is a 3rd year Choralier and they still AMAZE me with how they can come together and make such beautiful music!! Each year has been very different even if they sing the same song.

I love that I have been able to a part of it and will continue even though my daughter is a Senior and graduating, I have another daughter that will be at LHS next year….=o)

    Hope to meet you sometime….TK

  6. LV2LV – nope, we didn’t talk last week. My family says my chili is edible, but not great, so I ended up bringing a huge load of paper products instead. :)

My daughter Kelly is a sophomore and really wants to stay in Choraliers the next two years, but she’s also a competitive dancer, so her schedule is absolutely ridiculous. Unfortunately, her grades are suffering so she may be forced to make a choice between choir and dance next year. She tried out for Choraliers not honestly expecting to make it (she hadn’t been in choir since 6th grade), but she absolutely loves it, so I’m not sure what’s going to happen next year. I hate to force her to choose, but there are only so many hours in the day, and we’re already running into several scheduling conflicts.

She says that most of the Choraliers are seniors anyway, so it’ll pretty much be a new group next year. Will your younger daughter be trying out to continue the family tradition?

  7. Sherry- Thanks for the paper goods…. couldnt have gone with out them!!

Sorry to hear she may have to make a decision. I do know that many of the kids are able to juggle multiple activities, but I am not sure how they do it…. makes me tired thinking about it.

Yes, My second daughter will audition for Choraliers but not very many make it Freshman year. If she does not, she will join the Concert Choir and work her way up.

Each year several graduate and a new group is added to the remaining group. But as you saw Friday night, they come together very well with the guidance of great directors and veteran Choraliers.

There is an Informational Trip meeting Tuesday night hope to see you there. BTW, now that I know who you are, I will contact you by email, since I have that.

  8. LV2LV – Do me a favor and shoot me an e-mail, so I can have your address, too. I still haven’t figured out who you are! I need to ask you something (nothing critical) and all this choir stuff doesn’t need to be in this blog.

    Thanks!
