From LHS Choir …

Buy a book, support the choir!

Once again…I am asking you to help in the support of LaVergne High School Choir…..

The LHS Choraliers and Concert Choir will be performing Thursday, April 30th at Barnes & Noble in Murfreesboro at The Avenues from 6-8.

This will be a fundraising event in which you can come out and see them perform and when making purchases mention our Name/Code 490508 then B&N will donate a portion of your purchases made Thursday, Friday and Saturday to the LHS Choir.

Please come and show your support….It does not cost you anything extra.  Also, tell your friends and family all over the USA….this number is good at ANY Barnes and Noble store for those 3 days.

Anyone looking for a room to rent?

I have a friend who is looking for a roommate to share her three bedroom two and a half bath house with two car garage in La Vergne, just off of Bill Stewart Blvd….if you or anyone you know is interested, email her for more info.

She’s an MTSU student, so another student would probably be the best option.

On another note, anyone going to the Zombie fest in Smyrna tomorrow? It should be a hoot to see so many zombies roaming around town. Besides, with the Country Music Marathon going on, I want to stay as far away from downtown as possible!

The Yard Sale List

The Yard Sale List is now up and running! Currently there are only two events listed, so if anyone is having a sale and would like to list it here, email me at I’ll be happy to add you to the calendar.

LaVergne HS Prom

I just hopped over to the Daily News Journal online and saw they have photos from the LHS prom posted!  See if you know anyone!  The students were just stunning and beautiful!  And it looks like everyone had a fantastic time!

304 Cumberland Drive, Smyrna

Watch for more information about a fundraiser sponsored by the Smyrna Bowling Center – donations to go to the Red Cross for tornado victims.  Date and activities to be announced soon.

Helping Coach Middleton

My friend Deb submitted this…

Coach Middleton lost his home during the tornado so as a community our coaches and the Smyrna coaches are joining together to host a one day Junior Varsity Round Robin benefit with the gate proceeds going to Coach Middleton. We are asking people to please step up and volunteer to do any of the following.  Let’s show everyone the community spirit that we have at LHS.  Due to the short notice, please call as soon as possible with the time that you can volunteer. Work concession (call Christy at 347-4914)
Work gate (call Vicki at 428-6083)
Work scoreboard and play music between innings (call Marie at 417-2680)

Game Schedule:
Siegel vs. Lavergne– 10:00
Siegel vs. Ravenwood–12:30
Lavergne vs. Ravenwood–3:00 Gate:  $5.00 per person If you have purchased a LHS Family Pass, it will be accepted for this Round Robin.  However, a donation at the gate would be appreciated. There will be a bucket at the gate to accept donations.

Zombies Coming to Smyrna

This is just too cool for words.  From Nashvillest,

We think that our buddies over at the Tennessean would get along well with Zombie Craigslist Dude, with their recent declarations “ZOMBIES WILL CLOSE SMYRNA STREET” and “CALLING ALL ZOMBIES.” And by “get along well with Zombie Craigslist Dude,” we mean that they’re probably the reason that he’s planning a war on terrorist zombies. Alarming headlines aside, there is actually an open casting call for an independent monster movie that apparently needs a bunch of zombie extras.

Got Zombie?
