It’s Hoops Time in LaV

Are the kids getting on your nerves at home and you want to find something for them to do during the winter?  You know… exercise, learning to be a team player and good sportsmanship?

Universal Sports League (formerly La Vergne Youth Basketball) will be holding signups on Saturday, December 11th from 10:00 am – 12 noon at Rock Springs Elementary School. This league is open to boys & girls ages 5-18.

Registration is $95 for Ages 5-13, with a $5 sibling discount, and $120 for Ages 14-18, with a $10 sibling discount.

For more info on Universal Sports League (formerly La Vergne Youth Basketball), please contact Julie Vestal at 615-305-5890, or visit www.universalsportsleague.org.

At the web site you can print off 3 forms, the sign up, the medical release form and parents code of conduct, If you will do that and have them filled out when you arrive at Rock Springs it will make the process much faster.

ALSO, we are still needing some great coaches.  That would leave me out.

~~~ THIS WILL BE THE LAST DAY FOR SIGN UPS ~~~
Thanks to Steve for the info!
Holiday Gathering 2k10
UPDATE:  This is LaV will be getting together on Sunday, December 12th at 4:00 p.m. at Mixed Grill Gyros, 5118 Murfreesboro Road.  The restaurant is very pleased that we will be there, so please come one and all!
Who wants to get together for an informal meet & greet (slash) Christmas (slash) holiday celebration?  It’s been a couple of years since we’ve done one … It would be a great time for our elected officials to also show up informally and have the opportunity to talk to constituents.  Face to face.  And nice.
Anyone in?  I’m thinking a Sunday afternoon – this Sunday is a good possibility.  Where?
Good or Bad: Make a Call
In the early days of our website, I was chided by a city worker about how easy it was to pick up the phone and talk to the Mayor and Aldermen about concerns.  Perhaps it is time to make that happen… pick up the phone LaVergne and tell our elected officials how you feel about last night’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting.
